Bitorrent Ubuntu already installed by default when you click to open an anonymous bittorrent asks you to open automatically.

ktorrent works quite well. That is what I use now. I was with Azureus, but I started with connection problems.
You should be able to use ktorrent with Synaptic or Add / Remove "menu, select Programs.
I have also heard that the flooding is a good application, but I have not used.
